Håll Mats Persson b. 14 Dec 1847 Mora, Sweden d. 15(14?) July 1931 (83 yrs. old) In the US the name was changed to Hall Mats Peterson. In a Swedish family tree document entitled "Register över Håll - släkten" it says he left Sweden on 10 or 16 Apr or May 1870. He sailed on a ship named "Rollo of Hull". He came to St. Paul, MN on 3 July 1870. He was the first of the Persson family to come to the US. It is believed that he came to the US because of the Blomquists. Although his wife, Carrie Blomquist, came the same year, they did not marry until about 1877. 1. Edward Herman Peterson b: June 06, 1877 Bradford, Minnesota 2.
